 Minnesota has won seven straight against Chicago dating back to last year, the Twins' longest winning streak in the series with the White Sox since 2010-2011. Their longest winning streak in series history was 10 straight between 1965 and 1966.

 The Twins lost the final game of the series against the Rays yesterday in 18 innings, their first 18-inning game since August 8, 2004 versus Oakland. They sit at 52 wins through 80 games, tied for their second most wins through 80 games since the franchise moved to Minnesota (53 wins in 1970).

 The White Sox lost two of three at Boston, giving up at least six runs in every game. They have a 5.68 team ERA in their last seven series dating back to June 3, fourth worst in MLB in that span and just 155 strikeouts, fewest in MLB.
