The Phillies have won the season series with the Marlins in every season since 2010 and have won five of the first seven this year. Their 104-71 record against Miami since 2010 is the third best by any team against a divisional opponent (Braves vs. Marlins; Dodgers vs. Padres).

The Marlins split a four-game set with the Cardinals, scoring 13 runs in the two wins but just one run in the two losses. Miami averages only 1.89 runs per game in losses this season, lowest in MLB and on pace to be the lowest in franchise history.
