 The Blue Jays beat the Orioles, 12-3, on Thursday, with their 7-9 hitters combining for eight runs in the game. That ties the most runs scored by the Jays' 7-9 hitters in a game in franchise history (set three other times).

 The Astros are slugging .364 with two strikes this season, best in MLB. They have hit 41 home runs with two strikes, second best in baseball behind the Mariners (55).

 Michael Brantley has hit .382 against the Toronto Blue Jays in his career, currently the best by any player against the franchise in history (minimum 150 plate appearances). HOUSTON (AP)  Yordan Alvarez has quickly become a huge hit for the injury-depleted Houston Astros.
The 21-year-old rookie from Cuba homered again, connecting for an upper-deck shot Saturday to send the Astros over the Toronto Blue Jays 7-2.
