 After losing two games to the Marlins and getting outscored 24-3, the Brewers have won four consecutive games, hitting at least two home runs in each game. Since May 15, Milwaukee is averaging 2.0 home runs, second highest in MLB behind Minnesota (2.2).

 Houston's starters have allowed three or fewer earned runs in 17 consecutive games, the longest active streak in MLB. In that time since May 23, the starters are holding opponents to a .212 average, second lowest in MLB behind the Rays' starters (.206).

 This will be the third series between the Astros and Brewers since Houston moved to the American League in 2013. Since then, Houston is 70-53 in interleague play, fifth best in MLB.

 Ryan Braun has slashed .341/.407/.642 in 89 career games against Houston. The only player with a higher slugging percentage against the Astros (minimum 250 plate appearances) is Fred McGriff (.661).

Hot righties meet as Astros face Brewers

HOUSTON (AP)  On a night when the Milwaukee Brewers struck out again and again, piling up a season-high 24 Ks against the Houston Astros, one big swing by Mike Moustakas made all those whiffs way easier to swallow.
Moustakas hit a two-run homer during Milwaukee's three-run 14th inning, and the Brewers struck out 15 times against Houston ace Justin Verlander before rallying for a 6-3 victory over the Astros on Wednesday.
