The Athletics have won 13 of the last 15 meetings with the Rangers dating back to last July, including five of six in Arlington. It's the A's most wins in a 15-game span against the Rangers since winning 13 of 15 from June 2003 to April 2004.

Oakland took two of three in Los Angeles and has won eight of their last nine road games, averaging 7.3 runs per game in that span (not including a suspended game in Detroit). They had won just one of their previous 12 road games, averaging just 4.3 runs per game in that span.

Texas won the final two games against Baltimore for its fifth straight home series win, the second-longest active streak in baseball (Yankees, eight). They look to win six straight series at home for the first time since April to June 2016.

Oakland right-hander Frankie Montas will seek to extend his streak of unbeaten starts to seven on Sunday afternoon when the Athletics and Texas Rangers meet in the series finale in Arlington, Texas.
Montas (7-2, 2.83 ERA) will have to go a long way to match the effort of Rangers right-hander Adrian Sampson on Saturday night, in the nightcap of Texas' 10-5, 3-1 doubleheader sweep of the A's. Sampson threw the first complete game of his career, limiting the A's to four hits.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)  Khris Davis benefited from comfortable hitting surroundings despite playing halfway across the country from his home ballpark.
The Oakland slugger homered for the first time in nearly a month as the Athletics built an eight-run lead, then hung on to beat the Texas Rangers 9-8 on Sunday for a four-game series split.
