The Red Sox beat the Yankees in their series finale on Sunday to avoid a sweep in New York. Boston has gone 3-6 since May 24 despite only being outscored 49-48 in that span.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)  Mookie Betts is pretty good against Danny Duffy.
Betts hit a two-run homer off Duffy in a four-run third inning and the Boston Red Sox defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-5 Thursday to complete their first series sweep in nearly a month.
