 The first time these clubs met this season was on April 12 -- Seattle (13-2) held a four-game lead on Houston (8-5) at the time. Since April 12, the Mariners are an MLB-worst 12-35, and the Astros are 32-15, which ranks fourth in MLB over that time.

 Kyle Seager hit his first home run of the season yesterday against the Angels. In his career, Seager has 176 home runs and 251 doubles -- the only other players all-time with 175+ home runs and 250+ doubles in a Mariners uniform are Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez.

 In three starts since being removed from the IL, Wade LeBlanc has a 10.22 ERA and a .722 opponent slugging percentage. LeBlanc, however, has a 3.00 ERA in his last three starts against the Astros.

 Over his last 162 regular season games, Alex Bregman has 43 home runs, 41 doubles and 120 RBI. The only other active player with 40+ home runs, 40+ doubles and 120 RBI over his last 162 games played is Nolan Arenado (43 HR, 42 2B & 128 RBI).

SEATTLE (AP)  After weeks of being on the wrong end of several ugly routs, the Seattle Mariners finally enjoyed a laugher of their own.
''We were due to be on the other side of that type of game,'' manager Scott Servais said. ''We've wore a few of those this year.''
