 The Mets were shut out for the seventh time this season in their 2-0 loss to the Dodgers on Thursday. The only team in the majors that has been shut out more often this season is the Marlins (10).

 Each of the last three series that the Diamondbacks have played in have resulted in a sweep. Arizona was swept in three games in San Diego, then swept the Giants in three games in San Francisco, then were swept in four games by the Rockies in Colorado.

 Pete Alonso has hit 19 home runs this season, tying Mark McGwire's mark originally set in 1987 for most home runs by a rookie prior to June all-time.

 Since May 13, Eduardo Escobar has driven in an MLB-high 24 runs. Overall this season, Escobar has eight games with at least three RBI to lead all of baseball.

 In the first three innings of his starts this season, Zack Wheeler has a 7.09 ERA and a 2.2 strikeout-walk ratio -- from the fourth inning on, he has a 2.43 ERA and a 6.3 strikeout-walk ratio. Wheeler has a 2.30 ERA in five career starts against the D'Backs, all of which were quality starts.

PHOENIX (AP)  Tim Locastro's arms and legs are covered in sizable bandages after being hit by pitches eight times in 18 major league games this season, including Saturday.
But the Arizona Diamondbacks' reserve outfielder wasn't feeling too much soreness after delivering his first career walk-off hit.
