 The Angels have won each of their last two series, winning two of three games against both the Rangers and the A's. Despite the recent success against their division, the Angels are just 9-16 (.360) this season against the AL West, the fifth-worst record by any team within their own division.

 The Mariners are an MLB-worst 11-32 (.256) since April 12. This stretch of games is tied for the second-worst single-season 43-game span in franchise history - Seattle's only worse single-season 43-game span came when the team went 9-34 (.209) from July 10 -- August 24, 1980.

 Seattle has played the most difficult schedule in the majors in May, with its opponents combining for a .564 win percentage (based on current records). All 26 games that the Mariners have played this month have been against teams currently at .500 or better.

 Tim Beckham hit his 10th home run of the season last game, giving Seattle six different players with double-digit home runs this season. The Mariners are the first team in MLB history to have six different players with 10+ home runs before June.

 Mike Trout has 20 career home runs at T-Mobile Park, the most by any player as a visitor at the park. In the divisional era (since 1969), only two players have hit more home runs as a visitor in any given ballpark prior to turning 28 years old: Alex Rodriguez (24 at Angel Stadium) and Giancarlo Stanton (21 at Citi Field).

 Since April 1, Felix Pena has limited opposing batters to a .191 batting average, the fifth lowest in the majors over that time (min. 40 IP). In two career starts against Seattle, Pena has allowed 10 earned runs across 5.1 innings, for a 16.88 ERA.

Jay Bruce become the eighth active player with 300 home runs and 300 doubles after hitting a solo shot in the seventh inning to provide what turned out to be the decisive run in a 4-3 victory against the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.

SEATTLE (AP)  Kole Calhoun has the same routine after every game: watch video of his at-bats. It doesn't matter if the Los Angeles Angels win or lose, or if Calhoun has a good night or bad.
So, after the right-fielder hit a game-clinching two-run homer in a 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, Calhoun didn't celebrate. Instead, he sat in front of a video monitor.
