 The Mets are back to .500 thanks to winning six of their last seven games, with six of those games decided by two or fewer runs. They have played in 28 games decided by two or fewer runs this season, fourth most in MLB. They are 14-14 in those games.

 The Dodgers have the second-best record since April 25 at 20-7 (Twins, 23-7). Their ERA in that time is 2.63, including a 2.17 ERA from their starters. Both are the lowest in baseball.

 Los Angeles is 11-2 versus New York since 2017, hitting 41 home runs while allowing only 18. That 3.15 home run average against the Mets is the highest by any team against an opponent since then (minimum five games).

LOS ANGELES (AP)  Credit injured Robinson Cano with an assist on Michael Conforto's first career grand slam.
Conforto took some advice from Cano during a pitching change before his at-bat in the seventh and turned on an 0-1 pitch from Scott Alexander that lifted the New York Mets over the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 Tuesday night.
