 The Angels won two of three over the Royals in late April and won six of seven in this series in 2018. That 8-2 record against KC since last season is the Angels' best against any AL opponent.

Los Angeles Angels manager Brad Ausmus is happy to have the option of putting Shohei Ohtani in the lineup Saturday night against the Kansas City Royals, though it would only be as the designated hitter.
A two-way player, Ohtani will not pitch this season, needing at least a full year to recover from Tommy John surgery performed last Oct. 1.

Royals seek to even series with Angels

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)  Mike Trout's 250th home run was memorable in more ways than one.
Trout's solo shot to left-center off traveled 473 feet and made him the sixth AL player to reach 250 homers before his 28th birthday as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 6-3 on Saturday night.
