The Diamondbacks swept the Braves in their first series this season. However, the Braves won three of four in Arizona last year, hitting a combined eight home runs in the series.

The Braves were swept by the Dodgers early this week, getting outscored 23-7 in the series. They allowed six home runs over the last two games of the series -- the Braves had allowed a combined six home runs in their previous eight games.

Arizona beat Tampa Bay in 13 innings on Wednesday, 3-2, after blowing a 2-0 lead in the eighth inning. The Diamondbacks are now 5-9 when scoring three runs or fewer this season, tied with the Rays for the best record in MLB.

Mike Soroka hasn't allowed more than one earned run in any of his first four starts this season. He allowed just three hits and zero earned runs in seven innings of work in his last start against Miami while picking up his third straight win.

Christian Walker went 6-of-13 with two home runs in Arizona's first series against Atlanta. Through that series, Walker was slugging .683 with six homers. In the 16 games since then, he is slugging .477 with just one home run (April 22 at Pittsburgh).

David Peralta went 3-for-5 yesterday against Tampa Bay, his fourth three-hit game of the season. Since June 1 of last season, Peralta is hitting .312, fourth best in the National League (minimum 500 PA).

The Atlanta Braves will go for their third straight win since moving Ronald Acuna Jr. to the leadoff spot when they finish a four-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday in Phoenix.
Acuna was 2-for-5 in the leadoff role on Saturday and improved to .328 (89-for-277) with 20 homers and 46 RBIs in 68 career games as the leadoff hitter. The 2018 National League Rookie of the Year had spent all of the season batting cleanup before Atlanta manager Brian Snitker shook up the lineup Friday.
