The Indians and Marlins split two games from April 23-24. Cleveland has won six of its last seven against Miami, tied for its winningest seven-game span versus any interleague opponent.

Cleveland split a road series with Houston, averaging four runs in its wins and two runs in its losses. The Indians have gone 10-3 this season when scoring at least four runs, the fourth-best record in the American League.

Francisco Lindor has hit three home runs in eight games since making his season debut on April 20. As a team, Cleveland hit four home runs in its first eight games this season.

MIAMI (AP)  Because of the unusual way the game started, Carlos Gonzalez figured the Cleveland Indians might need a lot of runs.
''I've never seen Trevor Bauer struggle before,'' Gonzalez said with a chuckle.
