 The Dodgers have an 11-2 record versus the Pirates since 2017, tied for the second-best record by any NL team against another in that span (Nationals, 12-2 vs. Reds). Pittsburgh is 0-6 at Dodger Stadium during that time, getting outscored 52-14.

 The Pirates' current five-game losing streak matches their longest from all of last season. They scored only seven runs in a four-game sweep this week at the hands of the Diamondbacks and have scored just 75 on the season, second fewest in baseball ahead of only Miami (68).

 The Dodgers have scored the second-most runs with 146 despite averaging just 3.4 runs in their last eight games. They're batting .181 in that span and failed to homer in three of those games, something that happened just twice in their first 19 games while they hit .284 as a team.

 Chris Archer had 7+ strikeouts in each of his first three starts of 2019 before having only two on Sunday against the Giants and suffering his first loss of the season. He's 3-12 with a 7.17 ERA in his last 20 starts when not having at least five strikeouts.

 Cody Bellinger is tied with Christian Yelich for the major league lead with 31 RBI, the most by a Dodger through the team's first 27 games since Ron Cey had 37 in 1977. Bellinger has 10 RBI in nine career games against the Pirates along with five home runs.

Shorthanded Pirates face big test against Dodgers' Kershaw

LOS ANGELES (AP)  Three starts into his delayed season and Clayton Kershaw already appears back in his usual form.
Kershaw earned his first win, allowing one run over seven innings to outpitch Joe Musgrove and help the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-1 on Saturday night.
