The Brewers and Mets will meet for the first time this season with the Brewers taking last year's season series, 4-3. The Mets have won nine of the last 12 games against the Brewers in New York, holding Milwaukee to just 3.0 runs per game.

Milwaukee has lost seven of eight, allowing 5.25 runs per game. The Brewers' team ERA this season is 5.27, up from last year's mark of 3.73 -- that +1.54 increase in ERA ranks as the second-largest increase in MLB behind the Red Sox (+1.69).

The Mets sit in first place in the NL East with a 13-11 record despite holding a -12 run differential on the season. They took two of three against the Phillies in their last series, holding them to one combined run in the two wins but getting shut out in the one loss.

Christian Yelich has gone hitless in his last five road games along with two walks and five strikeouts. All 13 of Yelich's home runs have come at home this season -- he has a 1.271 slugging percentage at home compared to just .273 on the road, the largest difference among qualified batters in MLB (home better).

Robinson Cano has multiple hits in four of his last six games and accounted for three of the Mets' six hits in their 6-0 loss to Philly. Cano is hitting .381 over his last 11 games after hitting just .180 over the first 12 games of the season.

Jacob deGrom has allowed nine earned runs over 9.0 innings in his last two starts after pitching two scoreless starts over 13.0 innings in his first two games. DeGrom has allowed 15 runs in his last three starts against Milwaukee after allowing four total runs in his first four starts against the Brewers.

They might get a chance to find out what they did - or didn't - miss out on as early as this weekend, when the Mets host Gonzalez' new team, the Milwaukee Brewers, in a three-game series.
