 Cleveland is hitting .199 on the road this season, second worst in the American League behind the Angels (.193). This is the Indians' worst average through 12 road games of the season since 1969 (.196).

 The Astros have recorded at least 10 hits in six consecutive games -- only the Athletics from April 7-14 (seven games) have had a longer streak this season. They have gotten at least 10 hits in 13 games this season, most in the AL.

 This is the first meeting between the Astros and Indians since Houston swept Cleveland in last season's ALDS. Including the postseason, Houston went 7-3 against Cleveland in 2018, outscoring the Tribe, 66-35.

 Trevor Bauer has thrown over 100 pitches in all five starts this season -- his 114.4 pitches per game is the highest in MLB. That is the highest rate by a Cleveland pitcher through five starts in a season since Jack McDowell averaged 119.6 in his first five starts in 1996.

He will look to remain dangerous Friday when the visiting Indians continue their four-game series against the Houston Astros.

HOUSTON (AP)  Francisco Lindor feels like he's still finding his timing at the plate just a week into his season after starting the year on the injured list.
Despite this, Cleveland's young star shortstop still had a big night at the plate on Friday to lead the Indians to a win.
