 Cleveland completed a four-game sweep against Toronto as the pitching staff held the Blue Jays to six runs in the entire series. The Tribe's 2.85 ERA this season is the fourth lowest in baseball, and they have allowed only five home runs, tied with the Reds for fewest in baseball.

 The Tigers have won five consecutive games and are now 7-3 -- they have started 7-3 or better in four of the last five seasons. They have posted a 2.30 ERA, second best in MLB (Rays, 1.80) and their lowest through 10 games of the season since 2015 (1.82).

 Cleveland went 13-6 against Detroit last season, outscoring them, 116-47. Since 2016, the Indians are 40-16 (.714) against the Tigers, the best record by any team against a divisional foe.

 Hanley Ramirez has hit .313 in 17 career games against Detroit, but has yet to hit a home run against the team. He is currently the only Indians player with multiple home runs this season (two).

 Jordan Zimmermann has allowed only one earned run in two starts this season, striking out 10 and walking just one. In his last four starts of 2018, he posted a 7.32 ERA, allowing seven home runs and a .308 opponent average in that time.

 Carlos Santana is hitting .419 this season -- the rest of the team is hitting .151. Cleveland's .182 batting average on the season is its second worst through nine games in the last 100 seasons. The only time the Indians had a worse average through nine games was last season (.159).

Corey Kluber wasn't his usual dominant self in his last start. He'll look to return to form against a familiar foe on Tuesday afternoon.
He allowed six runs (four earned) on eight hits in 3 1/3 innings against the Chicago White Sox on April 3. He's 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA heading into the road matchup against the red-hot Tigers, who have won five straight.

Corey Kluber earned his first win of the season in his third start, powered by four home runs that sent the Indians over the Detroit Tigers 8-2.
