The Nationals were swept three straight by the Braves at Turner Field over the weekend, getting outscored by a combined 23-11 in the process. Washington is 1-5 vs. Atlanta in 2014, and 6-0 against all others (Mets and Marlins).

Miami lost, 4-3, in Philadelphia on Sunday, and has now dropped seven straight games since beginning the season with a mark of 5-1 in its first six contests. The Marlins have homered in five consecutive games -- tied for their longest streak since the beginning of 2013.

Washington has defeated Miami four straight times, and eight times in the last nine games overall. The Nationals have shut out the Marlins five times since the beginning of last season, including the two clubs' first meeting of 2014 on April 8.

Jordan Zimmermann last just 1.2 innings and allowed five runs (all earned) in his last outing vs. the Marlins on April 9 at Nationals Park. Zimmermann is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA the last two times he's taken the hill against Miami at Marlins Park.

Brad Hand is expected to make his second start of 2014 tonight after coming out of the bullpen in his first two appearances of the season. Hand is 0-2 with an 8.59 ERA in four career starts against the Nationals.

Bryce Harper went 2-for-2 with two walks yesterday, improving his batting average to .310 and his on-base percentage to .383 in 2014. Harper is batting .476 (10-for-21) during his current six-game hitting streak.
