Two-time NCAA women's golf individual champion Rose Zhang has decided to turn pro, the talented Stanford sophomore announced in an Instagram post Friday.

The 20-year-old will make her professional debut at the Mizuho Americas Open beginning June 1.

She plans to compete at the four remaining LPGA majors in the summer, including the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in June, the U.S. Women's Open and Evian Championship in July, and the AIG Women's Open in August.

Zhang became the first woman to win consecutive NCAA women's golf titles on Monday while tying the record for most NCAA wins in a single season (eight).

She's won 12 tournaments in 20 starts over two years at Stanford to surpass Tiger Woods for the most victories by any golfer in school history.

"It's cliche to say, but I never dreamed of having the opportunity to coach the greatest female amateur of all time," Stanford coach Anne Walker said in a statement. "Zhang has led our team with class both on and off the golf course every day for two years.

"She's broken every record, won every championship, and taken our team to the top of college golf. I'm quite certain I'll never coach anyone quite like Rose again - she's a generational player."

Zhang also won the 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur, 2021 U.S. Girls' Junior, and the Augusta National Women's Amateur in April.
