Following her round at the U.S. Women's Open on Friday, Danielle Kang announced she has a tumor on her spine, according to Golfweek's Beth Ann Nichols.
"I'm actually doing everything I can," Kang told Golf Central. "I don't know how to answer these things right now. I don't have all the answers."
Kang said she missed starts on the LPGA recently due to the tumor and plans to take time after this week's major to seek answers, according to GOLF's James Colgan.
The 29-year-old found out she had the tumor after the Palos Verdes Championship in late April, according to Nichols.
"It's not just that I have an issue with my back, there is more to it," Kang said. "The scary part is that, I understand, and I didn't want to publicize it, but I know it got out. There's more to it. I just don't want to really discuss the details of what's going on in my back."
