VIDEO: Messi, Suarez execute perfect Cruyff penalty, demolish Celta Vigo
Barcelona doesn't score normal goals. Even from the penalty spot.
The undisputed best team on the planet - any argument to the contrary is demonstrably false - put on an absurd show in the second half of Sunday's contest at the Camp Nou, scoring five goals (each of which, it seemed, better than the last) en route to a 6-1 annihilation of Celta Vigo.
The highlight of the evening was indisputably Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez bamboozling everyone and sending the football world into hysteria by executing the all-too-rare "pass" penalty routine made famous by Dutch icon Johan Cruyff.
Fitting, really, that the goal came after the pint-sized Argentine won the spot-kick by stomping on the soul of a poor Celta Vigo defender.
Cruyff, beloved at the Camp Nou, put the penalty routine on the map when he executed it with an Ajax teammate during the 1982-83 season.
Take notes, Thierry Henry and Robert Pires. That's how it is done.
