Inter confirmed Friday the signing of right-back Martin Montoya from Barcelona, inking the Spaniard on a loan deal that includes an option to make the move permanent at the end of the coming season.

The 24-year-old La Masia product becomes Inter's third defensive addition this summer, joining a group that includes Miranda and Jeison Murillo.

Montoya found himself largely stapled to the bench at Barcelona last season, making only eight La Liga appearances while playing second fiddle to Dani Alves - who signed a contract extension with the Blaugrana this summer.
