Mario Mandzukic downplays incident with Dani Carvajal: 'No controversy, no bite'
Mario Mandzukic wants his Twitter followers to start their day by knowing that his clash with Dani Carvajal isn't a big deal.
The second half of Tuesday's scoreless draw between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid saw Carvajal take a swing at Mandzukic, while there was also the hint of a bite as the Spanish right-back's face came extremely close to the Croatian forward's arm.

However, on Wednesday, Mandzukic took to Twitter to downplay the incident, writing: "Good morning! Yesterday's game was very hard and both teams gave it everything, but for me there was no controversy, no bite, no nothing."
Mandzukic obviously holds a reputation for his antics on the pitch, but it's good to see him shrug off an incident that some believe marred the first leg of the Champions League tie.
