Pots confirmed for Champions League group stage draw
The stage is set for Thursday's Champions League draw.
Ajax, Slavia Prague, and Club Brugge secured the last available group stage slots with wins over APOEL, Cluj, and LASK in their respective playoff ties, thus finalizing the 32-team field for this season's tournament.
Here's how the four pots break down:
Pot 1: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Zenit St. Petersburg
Pot 2: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Tottenham, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Ajax
Pot 3: Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Red Bull Salzburg, Olympiacos, Valencia, Club Brugge, Inter Milan, Dinamo Zagreb
Pot 4: Lokomotiv Moscow, Genk, Galatasaray, RB Leipzig, Slavia Prague, Red Star Belgrade, Atalanta, Lille
The draw is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The tournament itself kicks off on Sept. 17.
