Birthday boys Angel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani combined for three goals - the Argentine winger netting a pair of sweet tallies on either side of the half-time interval - while Julian Draxler also found the back of the net on a memorable, somewhat surreal evening in the French capital.

The return leg is slated for March 8 at the Camp Nou, and the Catalan club will need an equally historic showing to dig itself out of this enormous hole.
