Scenes at the Mestalla turned ugly after Barcelona's breathless 3-2 victory over Valencia on Saturday, as a plastic water bottle was thrown at a group of celebrating Blaugrana players after Lionel Messi scored a 94th-minute penalty to complete a comeback win.
The bottle struck Neymar in the face and prompted an understandably incensed reaction from both Luis Enrique and Messi, with the latter exchanging some seemingly ferocious words with the section of the crowd from where the projectile seemed to be hurled.
La Liga officials will likely look into the incident, which could - and, frankly, should - see Valencia sanctioned in some manner.
