Durmisi, 22, was at Brondby since 2000 and made his debut for Denmark's national team in June 2015. When Betis and Sevilla clash in the Seville derby, he'll have the chance to take on his compatriot, Michael Krohn-Dehli.
"When I knew Betis was interested in me, I had no doubts," Durmisi said. "I know this team has a lot of fans and a big culture, also. Betis is a team that plays good football. I need to develop even more, so I decided to come here. I think is the right step for me."
Durmisi added: "I'm young and hungry. I want to prove that I can play for this team because I know there's a huge step between Denmark and Spain. I'm ready to give my 100 percent." Asked if he spoke to anyone for references before coming, the Danish left-back answered: "No, actually not. When I do something, I do it 100 percent. When I do something I know it's going to end happily."
