Alvaro Negredo's 91st-minute goal gives Valencia huge win over Sevilla
Alvaro Negredo barely played on Sunday, but his impact on the pitch was undeniable.
In desperate need of points to distance itself from La Liga's relegation zone, Valencia produced a dominant showing versus Sevilla, but ultimately required a 91st-minute goal from Negredo - who replaced Paco Alcacer only six minutes earlier - to earn the victory.
Valencia should have ended the fixture long before Negredo's goal, and there was inevitably frustration and panic at Mestalla Stadium when Kevin Gameiro scored an 86th-minute equaliser. Los Che's eventual triumph, however, was well deserved given that the club outshot the Andalusian side 23-7.

Victory for Valencia means Pako Ayestaran has already won as many La Liga matches as Gary Neville did during his tenure with the club. Defeat for Sevilla, on the other hand, means Villarreal is pretty much certain to snatch the fourth Champions League spot in the top flight of Spanish football.
