Rome, Italy, June 1, 2022 (AFP) - Aurelio Andreazzoli, at 68 years of age the oldest manager in Serie A, will no longer be at the helm of Empoli next season, the club announced Wednesday.
"All the club sends sincere thanks to Aurelio Andreazzoli for what he has done over these last years," Empoli said in a statement.
According to media reports, Andreazzoli could well be replaced by former Venice coach Paolo Zanetti, at 39 the youngest Serie A manager.
Under Andreazzoli, Empoli finished a creditable 14th last season having been promoted from Serie B.
