Ronaldo becomes all-time leading scorer at European Championship
Cristiano Ronaldo has etched his name into the record books yet again.
The 36-year-old became the European Championship's all-time leading scorer Tuesday after scoring his 10th and 11th goals in the competition during Portugal's 3-0 win over Hungary.
The goals move the Juventus star - who is appearing in his fifth European Championship - past French legend Michel Platini.

2 | Michel Platini | France | 9 | 5 |
3 | Alan Shearer | England | 7 | 9 |
T4 | Antoine Griezmann | France | 6 | 7 |

Ronaldo was largely quiet throughout the contest until Portugal finally managed to break the deadlock against a stubborn Hungary outfit.
After Raphael Guerreiro opened the scoring in the 84th minute, Ronaldo scored the record-breaking goal from the penalty spot to double Portugal's lead.
With Hungary on the ropes, Ronaldo scored another in stoppage time to cap off a clever passing sequence with Rafa Silva.

While the result was somewhat flattering for Portugal, it was perhaps the one match that Fernando Santos' side needed to win most, given that matches against Germany and France are on the horizon.
