Wolverhampton might have to consider selling one of the Premier League's hottest stars this summer.

Manchester City and Juventus are understood to be leaders in the pursuit of Adama Traore, with ESPN FC's Mark Ogden reporting that the two teams will launch bids to sign the 24-year-old if Wolves don't qualify for the Champions League.

Barcelona have also been linked with the winger, who began his career with the Catalan club before leaving in 2015. But Barca will reportedly wait until next year to pursue Traore, as selling players will be their top priority this summer, Ogden adds.

With three years remaining on Traore's contract, Ogden suggests Wolves could be in a position to demand a fee as high as £80 million for a player they bought for £18 million from Middlesbrough just two years ago.

City are expected to target a winger in the next window to fill the void left by Leroy Sane, who was sold to Bayern Munich last week for €49 million.

Meanwhile, Juventus is attempting to inject some youth into their attacking scheme.

Traore has been one of the biggest surprises in the Premier League this season, with four goals and nine assists. Only Kevin De Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold have more Premier League assists than Traore this season.

His contributions have played a major role in helping Nuno Espirito Santo's team remain in the hunt to secure the club's first-ever Champions League appearance.

Wolves sit five points back of the coveted fourth spot in the table. They can also qualify if they win the Europa League.

Wolverhampton resume their Europa League campaign when they take on Olympiacos in the round of 16 in August.
