In this case, at least, Lyon stands above Paris Saint-Germain.
Alexandre Lacazette was named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year by the UNFP (Professional Footballers' Union) on Sunday, beating out PSG trio Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Verratti and Javier Pastore - who together captured the league title this weekend ahead of second-placed Lyon.
The 23-year-old striker led the league with 27 goals on the campaign - a full six tallies ahead of his nearest competitor (Andre-Pierre Gignac).
