Mauricio Pochettino will consider leaving Paris Saint-Germain if Manchester United approach him with an offer to become manager, according to Simon Stone of BBC Sport.

United are in search of a new permanent manager after dismissing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday.

Pochettino is open to the possibility of moving to Old Trafford, and signing the 48-year-old mid-season is a possibility, Stone reports.

The Argentine manager is thought to be unhappy at PSG and could be intrigued by an offer that would give him control beyond first-team duties.

Pochettino is also believed to be interested in returning to the Premier League; he managed Tottenham Hotspur for five years after a promising spell at Southampton.

He will be in Manchester this week for PSG's Champions League clash with Manchester City on Wednesday.

Pochettino, who joined PSG 10 months ago, won the Coupe de France during his first season in the French capital. PSG currently sit atop Ligue 1 with an 11-point advantage and are second in their Champions League group behind City.

United have also been linked with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers, and Ajax's Erik ten Hag.
