Montpellier's French league match with Clermont has been rescheduled to be played again in full on November 29 after the original game was abandoned in the final minutes.
Montpellier had been leading 4-2 in the 91st minute when a home fan threw a firecracker that exploded next to the Clermont 'keeper Mory Diaw, who dropped to the floor covering an ear.
A clearly stunned Diaw needed treatment before being stretchered off, and the game was stopped before being abandoned following a crisis meeting.
Montpellier were subsequently handed a one-point deduction and hit with a two-match partial stadium closure.
An arrest was made and the alleged culprit will be tried at a hearing on November 16.
