Sainz finished 17th in the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia F1 race at Sepang International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:Sainz had one of his better qualifying performances of the season and lined up 13th on the grid. He and Williams got the strategy right early in the race, starting Sainz on intermediates before returning to slicks. However, he was hit by Gabriel Bortoleto, causing him to spin and lose track position. That doomed Sainz's race, but there were still positives to take away from the weekend.
