Alonso finished 18th in the British Grand Prix F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:Alonso was the better of the two Aston Martin drivers, as has been the case for much of the season. However, Lance Stroll was the only driver whom he bested on the road in the grand prix, and he finished consecutive races for only the second time this season. Alonso was slightly better in the sprint, but he still finished one minute out of the points. He's likely to remain uncompetitive until the Hungarian Grand Prix, when Aston Martin is expected to introduce an upgraded and reworked car.
