Lawson crashed and finished 20th in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
A good qualifying effort would put him 11th on the starting grid and with hopes of scoring points Sunday in Miami. However, it would dramatically change on lap 6 while fighting for position with Pierre Gasly. Lawson's car would lock-up after suffering a gearbox failure under braking. The two would collide and send Gasly flying through the air and into the barriers. Lawson's car would barely make it back to pit road and would be forced to retire in a disappointing 20th-place.
