Perez finished 16th in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The veteran Cadillac driver would stat 20th on the grid and look to make headway as soon as possible. Perez would climb up to P17 in the chaos of the opening laps and that would help him get a forward foothold. He ran a long opening stint and pitted on lap 29. Perez would engage in a good battle with Fernando Alonso late in the race but would yield that spot to the Aston Martin veteran. He would end up holding off Lance Stroll down the stretch to secure P16 in Miami.
