Verstappen was forced to retire after 35 Laps from the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Verstappen qualified well enough to earn points in both the sprint and grand prix, but miscues left him with an empty weekend. He had a slow start both Saturday and Sunday, forcing him into recovery drives. Verstappen rose all the way to sixth during the grand prix, but a cooling problem on his Red Bull forced him to retire. He has gotten off to an uncharacteristically slow start this season, tallying only eight points through two race weekends.
