Garcia and Jordan Taylor scored their second class victory in the last three races following a crazy conclusion to the GT Le Mans battle Sunday at Road America, in a 1-2 finish for Corvette Racing, sportscar365.com reports.
Analysis:
Garcia and Taylor would spend much of the race pursuing the No. 912 Porsche and running in second-place. However, the downpour that would come with just under an hour to go would entirely change the complexion of the race. The No. 24 BMW would shuffle to the lead after pit stops, but would crash on the next-to-last lap as heavy rain returned before the white flag. Garcia would peddle the No. 3 Corvette to the lead and take the checkered flag under caution. It was Garcia's second win of the season and 12th-career victory.
