Former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal signed for Getafe on Tuesday as a free agent until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old right-back left Los Blancos, with whom he won 27 trophies, at the end of last season.
"Getafe have reached a deal with Dani Carvajal that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027," said the La Liga side in a statement, highlighting his "leadership and experience".
Carvajal came through Real Madrid's La Fabrica youth academy and, after he left for Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, returned to the Spanish giants the following summer.
The defender was hampered by injury for much of last season and was not called up to join Spain's squad as La Roja won the World Cup.
