Real Sociedad defeat Osasuna to reach Copa del Rey semis

Real Sociedad eased into the Copa del Rey semi-finals with a 2-0 win over 10-man Osasuna on Thursday.

Ander Barrenetxea and Brais Mendez struck for the hosts before the visitors had Alejandro Catena sent off for a wild challenge after 35 minutes.

Osasuna beat the same opposition 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday but Catena's dismissal effectively ended any hope of mounting a comeback.

La Real join Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the final four, with Barcelona visiting Valencia later Thursday in the final quarter-final tie.
