Luis Suarez appears ready to make the switch from Barcelona to Madrid.

The Uruguayan striker is in the process of terminating his contract at Barcelona and has agreed to terms with Atletico Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman reportedly told Suarez - who's third on the club's all-time scoring list with 198 goals - that he doesn't have a future with the team.

Suarez has one year remaining on his contract and reportedly refused to leave the club until he's paid the remainder of his €25-million salary.

It remains unclear whether Barcelona agreed to his demand.

Suarez has helped Barcelona win four La Liga titles and the Champions League since his arrival at the Camp Nou from Liverpool in 2014.

The striker's potential move to the Spanish capital is expected to result in Atletico Madrid selling at least one player to make room for him.

Alvaro Morata appears the most likely candidate to leave the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, as Atletico are considering a deal with Juventus, Romano reports.
