Report: Eva Carneiro to claim for reinstatement as Chelsea doctor
Eva Carneiro will try to reclaim her job as Chelsea's head doctor, the position she departed after manager Jose Mourinho stripped her of her first-team role, reports Sky Sports.
Carneiro reportedly had legal papers served to the London club in October, seeking a constructive dismissal claim against her former employer. The case will now be heard by an employment tribunal, which Sky Sports says is set to take place on Jan. 6.
The British broadcaster believes Carneiro is also looking to pursue damages against Mourinho for sexual discrimination.
Mourinho dropped Carneiro from her regular matchday duties following a confrontation during the season opener against Swansea City on Aug. 8. The Portuguese openly criticised Carneiro for running on the pitch to treat forward Eden Hazard, temporarily reducing the side to nine men after it lost Thibaut Courtois to a red card.
