Coventry City has announced the imminent signing of Joe Cole on a short-term, emergency basis.
The League One side will welcome the 33-year-old from Aston Villa on Monday. The deal is only set to last until Nov. 22, but there is no shortage of buzz at the club.

"Joe has a great pedigree, both on the domestic and international stage, and I'm sure he'll have a fantastic impact during his time at the club," City manager Tony Mowbray said.
"I've met with Joe and he has watched us play several times this season. He likes the way we play the game and because of that, he has shown a real enthusium to come and play for the club."

Cole, once an international with England, has played just 12 Premier League matches since joining Villa in 2014. His only appearance this season came in the 5-3 win over Notts County in the Capital One Cup in August.
At Coventry, he will still be playing against better teams than League Two's County. He can look forward to fixtures against Rochdale and Colchester during his short stint in the third division of English football.
