Heung-Min Son's agent on client's future: 'I know that Liverpool have scouted him'

Heung-Min Son is under contract at Bayer Leverkusen until 2018, but that hasn't stopped Liverpool from scouting the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

Son's agent, Thies Bliemeister, claimed on Friday that the Merseyside club have been keeping an eye on his client over the course of the season and that he's a player Brendan Rodgers' side are keen to acquire.

"I know that Liverpool have scouted him several times this season and would love to have the player in their squad," Bliemeister told Bild, as translated by ESPN FC.

A report from Kicker this week suggested that a deal this summer is unlikely as Son wants to remain at Leverkusen for another season, and Bild reports that the deadline to activate a release clause in the player's contract already expired.

Through 27 Bundesliga appearances, Son has notched 11 goals and two assists to help propel Leverkusen to fourth in the league table.
