Ryan Giggs will be given a role by Manchester United no matter who is named the next permanent manager.
The Guardian's Jamie Jackson reports Giggs is seen as a key to maintaining continuity at the club, and will be asked to stay on even if the next manager shuns him from his first-team staff.
Giggs lacks the experience needed to become United's next head coach, according to club executives, and the Welsh legend apparently agrees, according to Jackson.
However, senior officials at Old Trafford are keen on offering Giggs a role with the team beyond this season.
