CR7 ready to leave Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Al-Nassr amid his ongoing dispute with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) over an apparent lack of support for his club during the January transfer window. Ronaldo's upset that other PIF-backed teams, particularly title rivals Al-Hilal, were active during the signing period while his team largely stood pat, and he's skipped Al-Nassr's last two matches in an apparent protest.

The dispute has opened the door for Sporting CP to potentially bring the Portuguese icon back to the club by triggering his £43-million release clause in the summer. Al-Nassr and the Saudi Pro League are no longer worried about the possibility of losing Ronaldo, and would target either Mohamed Salah or Bruno Fernandes to replace him. (The i Paper)
