Top story: Real Madrid's Vini issue
Real Madrid are starting to consider selling Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian's status at the club was already declining since his form dipped after missing out on the 2024 Ballon d'Or award to Rodri, and he has now lost a key campaigner following head coach Carlo Ancelotti's departure. Teammates and supporters are also growing tired of his outbursts with referees and opponents, as well as with figures within Los Blancos' dressing room.
The problematic contract negotiations between Real Madrid and Vinicius appear to have nudged the Brazilian closer to the exit. Although Vinicius' deal expires in June 2027, his representatives believe he should be the best-paid player at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 25-year-old has been a long-term target for the Saudi Pro League. (Sport)
