Manchester City struck first in Sunday's pivotal Premier League clash against fellow title hopefuls Liverpool, using a clever corner-kick routine to open the scoring at Anfield.

Nathan Ake set a perfect screen at the front post, blocking out his defender and clearing out space for John Stones to connect with Kevin De Bruyne's low cross.

Liverpool battled back in the second half to earn a 1-1 draw. The result leaves Arsenal in first place in the Premier League, ahead of Jurgen Klopp's team on goal difference and one point clear of Pep Guardiola's side.
